Meleah Smith

I am a native of Lawrence County. I graduated from Hatton High School in 1997. I recently recieved my Masters in Elementary Education in 2019 from the University of West Alabama. I taught 1st grade at Hazlewood Elementary. I have taught 1st and 2nd at Hatton Elementary. I am married to Michael Smith and have three boys. I love spending time with my family. We stay busy with sports activities. We also enjoy vactioning when we can. 

I went into education because I want to make a difference in the lives of children.  I love teaching and interacting with students. My philosophy of education is that every student deserves the same opportunity to learn. I also believe that every child needs to feel loved and valued.
